Comfortable Love
You cannot fall asleep. One word led to another, and now you are in bed while he is on the couch. Outside, the moon is full and high. You sit by the rickety wooden table—the one that has moved with you through three different apartments—and you know that if you don't resolve this tonight, you might not make it through tomorrow.
Comfortable Love is an atmospheric, procedural short story built in Ink. It explores how trust, once broken, shifts the kaleidoscope of our warmest memories.

The Systemic Design:
* **Closeness vs. Avoidance:** The game tracks your choices in the background. Smelling the daffodil or discovering the secret poem in the orange notebook leaves a permanent mark on the variables.
* **A Living Apartment:** Descriptions of the balcony, bedroom, and hallway shift dynamically based on where you stand and what you’ve already uncovered.
* **The Hallway Gate:** The system checks your emotional score before you reach the living room, procedurally routing you to a space of either "warm orange glow" or "cold blue light."
* **5 Fragile Endings:** From a quiet tea ritual that heals the silence to an empty wardrobe found in the morning, the story reacts fully to your emotional choices.

The story and atmosphere were amazing, and it hit right in the feels. You did an awesome job sucking the reader in. The different choices added a lot, and I played through the story a few times to read all the options. I feel like expanding the ending a bit with more info can add a ton!
touching and very emotional, got
5 endings and had tears in my eyes throughout.
I liked that the story keeps branching to the different endings even after you made new choices, it made the game and story feel more tangible
"A moving story, it deeply touched upon personal stories from the past. I really connected with it
A touching and sweet story based game. The writing is very authentic and relatable. I also believe illustrations or animations would add another layer to the atmosphere.
I got 3 different endings before I burst into tears... great emotional stories, each in it's own unique way. I strongly believe illustrations would add another meaningful dimension to the game!
